I have the very great honor of performing with a host of amazing poets at the The #CaliforniaPoppyFestival. Poet and teacher Nicelle Davis hosts this all-day event and I’m really hoping she’s gonna’ read, too!  If you aren’t familiar, this is Lancaster’s annual celebration of California’s state flower. Our reading comes on the last day of festivities which are now spread out over three! Three full days of amusement park rides, displays, festival food, live animal exhibits, and countless activities for all ages.

Oh, and there’s also POPPIES!!!!!

It all begins on Friday April 22nd and runs through the weekend. The Sunday poetry reading starts at 10:00 am with a performance from poet Hanna Pachman. Also appearing are Brian Sonia-Wallace, Dharma Lemon, Breeanna Maree, Edwin Vasquez, Tiffany Hudgens, Timothy Green, and me!  (I expect to go on at noon)

Admission to the festival with all attractions included is  $8-$13.

Kids 5 and under are free
