“Because everything is a close call.” – Gail Gauldin Moore
I’m quite moved to be offering a special workshop as part of the Southern California Poetry Festival, hosted by Beyond Baroque. The theme is ‘Close Call,’ and will be a one-day generative workshop for writers of all disciplines. Participants will create new poems, discuss new approaches to craft, play a few writing games, and get prompts and materials to keep you writing. This class is dedicated to the memory of my friend, poet Gail Gauldin Moore, a beautiful poet who left us last May. Her last book is the lockdown elegy ‘Stricken’ (2022 Deerbrook Editions).
